FULCRUM

The FULCRUM is a milestone among multipurpose knives. Used on a large scale in Afghanistan as standard equipment by the components of the Italian "Nibbio" mission, it is part of an experimental project for the renewal of individual equipment undertaken by the Alpine Troop Command. During the preparation of this important mission, the Alpine Troops Command coordinated a team of companies in the creation of a complete and renewed experimental individual equipment.

Extrema Ratio is the company that the Alpine Troops Command selected and contacted for the development of a multi-role suitable for line infantry, a knife that could be used at all latitudes and that would successfully solve any type of problem that the equipment more specialized could not solve. The success was such that the multi-role gave way to the development of the Fulcrum bayonet, with the same characteristics but which can be connected to the service rifle. The FULCRUM is an extremely robust and versatile knife. The blade can withstand breaking loads of over 150 kg, the point is extremely robust and the profile allows you to work with the knife for a long time without affecting the sharpness of the last section. The advanced center of gravity and the weight of the blade make it suitable for heavy field work.
